How ZORVALE collects, uses, and protects your information
This Privacy Policy explains how ZORVALE ("the app," "we," "us"), developed by HA Codelabs, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the app. By using ZORVALE, you agree to the practices described here.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google Sign-In. If you use guest mode, we create a temporary anonymous identifier (with no name, email, or other personal details attached) so your session can work, and your activity data is stored primarily on your device.
To provide personalized plans, we collect information you choose to enter, such as:
This data is used only to power your in-app plans, progress tracking, and home screen widgets. We do not sell this information.
If you use AI food logging, you may type a short description of a meal or choose a photo from your camera or photo library. That content is used only to estimate foods, portions, and nutrition so you can review and log it. This feature is optional, and we do not access your camera or photo library unless you choose it.
Please photograph food only. Do not submit photos of people (especially children) or other sensitive content.
We collect your device's general country or region (derived from your device settings, not GPS) to localize food and recipe suggestions. If we add crash reporting or usage analytics in a future update, we will update this section before doing so.
ZORVALE shows ads via Google AdMob after certain in-app actions (for example, finishing a workout or using optional tools). AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier and other standard ad-serving signals to select and measure ads, which may include personalized advertising. Where required by applicable law (for example, in the EEA and UK), we request your consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time in your device's ad settings. Meal photos and meal descriptions you submit for analysis are not used to personalize ads.
When you use AI food logging, the app sends the text or photo you just submitted to third-party processing services so they can suggest foods, portion sizes, and nutrition values. You can edit or discard the suggestion. Nothing is added to your food log until you confirm it.
Estimates can be wrong. They are a logging aid, not medical or dietary advice. Third-party processors may handle your submission under their own terms while generating the estimate. We share only what is needed for that request.
ZORVALE relies on the following types of service providers, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:
| Service | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Backend database and authentication storage |
| Firebase (Google) | Google Sign-In authentication |
| YMove API | Exercise, diet plan, and food scanning data |
| AI analysis providers | Optional meal-photo and meal-text analysis to estimate foods and nutrition |
| Nutrition reference databases | Calorie and macro estimates for detected foods |
| Resend | Delivering in-app feedback emails |
| Google AdMob* | Displaying in-app advertising |
| Google Play Billing* | Processing in-app purchases |
*Only applicable if ads or in-app purchases are active in your app version.
Your data is stored securely in Supabase (for signed-in accounts) or locally on your device via encrypted local storage (for guest mode). Meal photos used for AI logging are transmitted securely for analysis and are not stored as images in your account. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
You can view and edit your profile, plan, and logged data at any time from within the app.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app. Alternatively, you may request deletion by emailing us at the address below, and we will process your request within 30 days.
You can disable reminder notifications at any time from your device settings or in-app notification preferences.
You can refuse camera or photo-library access. If you do, you can still log food by search, barcode, or by typing a description (where available). You can also skip AI logging entirely.
ZORVALE is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Confirmed food-log entries are kept with your nutrition history until you delete them or delete your account. Meal photos submitted for AI analysis are not retained in your account. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
